Opened in 1932, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is an iconic Australian steel arch bridge spanning 1,149 meters that connects Sydney’s CBD and North Shore. Known as “The Coathanger,” it features an arch peaking at 134 meters, carrying 8 lanes of traffic, 2 train lines, a walk/cycleway, and serves as a major tourist attraction with bridge climbs.
Take a leisurely 1.5kms (approx. one way) stroll across the bridge, in the dedicated, fence pedestrian walkway, whilst enjoying spectacular views of the Opera House and city skyline (free option).

The Sydney Opera House is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed performing arts centre and a global icon of Australia, located on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour. Designed by Danish architect Jorn Utzon and opened in 1973, its signature ‘sail’ design is a masterpiece of 20th-century architecture and engineering.

Mrs Macquarie’s Chair is an exposed sandstone rock cut into the shape of a bench, on a peninsula in Sydney Harbour. It was hand carved by convicts in 1810, for Elizabeth Macquarie, the wife of Major-General Lachlan Macquarie, Governor of New South Wales.
Above the chair is a stone inscription referring to Mrs Macquarie’s Road. That road was built between 1813 and 1818, and ran from the original Government House (now the Museum of Sydney) to Mrs Macquarie’s Point. It was built on the instruction of Governor Macquarie for the benefit of his wife. There is no remaining evidence of the original road, other than a culvert over which the road ran!
Their curriculum-based education programs for Stages 1 to 6 deepen historical learning and are led by specialist teachers.
